Content Creation

Overview

All the content of your website is contained in folders and plain text files (with a .wfc) extension. All contained in the "content" folder (ask your Site designer where the content folder for your site is). Use a text editor (such as notepad) to edit the .wfc files. Every .wfc file within the "content/pages" folder generates a web page in your site (once built with WebBuild).

Other than the "content/pages" folder there are two other folders that the content provider is responsible for: "content/images" and "content/documents" - these folders hold images and documents that you can refer to in .wfc files.

Once you have edited or created a .wfc file, run the WebBuild batch file to have the new content 'compiled' into the Build folder. At this point the resulting web site can be viewed with a browser of your choice. (double-click on the build/index.html file). Your site designer can show you how to do this if you are unsure - she may create a bookmark in you browser to access the built site and/or create a shortcut on your desktop to run WebBuild.

As you create .wfc files and subfolders new navigation links are automatically added to the navigation sections of the final web site.
